MMA, Grappling and BJJ program at our La Paz Gym
MMA is a challenging yet exhilarating full-contact sport that implements a combination of techniques from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai, and Boxing.
Amongst the sports many benefits are:

Training mixed martial arts gives you an intense physical workout, leading to dopamine being released in your brain. These feel-good hormones make you feel calmer, relaxed, and even help elevate your mood. Intense physical activity has also been known to be a great way to reduce stress.

One of the most important benefits of learning mixed martial arts is the improved cardiovascular health it provides. Doctors recommend getting at least 20-30 minutes of cardiovascular exercises three to five days a week.
4. Increase Your Strength
MMA training helps increase your functional strength. This goes beyond having an impressive physique that you can be proud of, MMA builds up your functional strength by building up structural muscles that might be weakened due to a sedentary lifestyle.
Our MMA program is run by experienced fight veterans that have fought all around the world at an elite level.
The classes are designed so that complete beginners can get a feel for the advantages and disadvantages of various positions whilst our more experienced guests can be doing drills to perfect their techniques and sparring.
We offer MMA training Monday-Friday through a combination of our Muay Thai, Grappling and Boxing
Starting at 19:00 you will warm up and then work on a mixture of Boxing, Muay Thai, Grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques and through combinations of drilling and sparring you will learn to implement them into your game.
We also regularly hold seminars and have guest instructors to make sure your training is constantly varied and that you are exposed to a variety of styles!!
All of our MMA and grappling classes are limited to a maximum of ten people to make sure that students receive plenty of face to face time with their instructor!!
About our head coach:
Mike "Rambo" Saint Claire
Mike started training and competing in Muay Thai around 2000 and decided to move to Thailand in 2004 to improve his ability and knowledge of the sport. During his time in Thailand he trained and fought out of the world famous Tiger Muay Thai Gym in Phuket and gained an impressive Muay Thai, MMA and Grappling record.
Tiger gave Mike the chance to develop his skills among some of the worlds best fighters including UFC veterans and BJJ world champions. During this time he also worked as Tigers head strength and conditioning coach. Whilst working at Tiger Muay Thai, Mike became the first trainer to import and start to implement Kettlebells into training regimes of the athletes there as well as the first importer and distributor of US sports nutrition supplements in Phuket.
In 2006 he founded the Combat 360X training system that has now been used to train dozens of Elite fighters and thousand’s of other athletes around the world.
Mike is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Purple belt under Professor Ray Elbe and has won numerous tournaments in Grappling, BJJ, MMA, Body building and Muay Thai!!
Amongst his achievements have been the UGB MMA Light Heavyweight Championship, the Khao Lak Stadium Heavyweight Muay Thai title, the Southern Thailand Heavyweight Muay Thai champion, Pan Asian Open Weight Grappling Gold Medalist, ADCC Philippines Pro Silver Medalist, FNBJJ Mexican National Championship Heavyweight Gold Medalist and more..
